Well your experience just goes to show that you're a fantastic Brand Ambassador! I think you're right, different events call for different kinds of reps. Sometimes it's just a pretty face, sometimes it's a Brand Ambassador who has the natural (or trained) talent to communicate directly and effectively with potential customers. Thanks for reading!

I do not agree with a single point made. Perhaps this is true across the board, but I've been told from the Agencies that I worked for that they have exceeded their numbers when I've worked for them. Additionally, I have been informed that they have received outstanding feedback on: personal/honest and down to earth service, a friendly and outgoing attitude, communicating effectively with staff and co-workers, and most importantly working well independently and as a team.

I have been a teacher for 5 years and just spent the last year working Promotions full time. I obviously had no background in this industry prior to joining it. I took my years of experience in retail, call center, customer service, and just being an overall friendly person who truly enjoys helping others and ensuring they have a great time and applied that to this field.

I'm not saying you have to be trained in this field or a model... but you need to be a people person and know how to interact and engage with others. I work with many girls who try and use their attractiveness to sell products. I don't feel that works. In this economy, a pretty smile or nice body is not going to get you numbers. People want to buy things that they actually need and that they feel is an honest product. It takes more than sex appeal. But that's just my opinion....

Flash Mobs are by no means dead, it's just a matter of executing the tool properly.
By that I mean having a large group in place to market the product effectively, and everyone on the same page doing so. It would also help greatly by incorporating a flash mob during a large event. Such as the Miami food and wine festival, which takes place on the beach and outside as thousands of patrons browse, walk and congregate. Planning and execution is key in my mind, to the perfect flash mob.
